SECTION 2 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase products from our website store or you register for one of our classes online, as part of the payment process, we collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, address and email address. This enables us to fulfill and support the products you purchase, as well as to follow through on your class enrollment.

When you submit a contact form via the website, we collect your name and email, as well as any messages you send. We use this information to respond to your inquiries.

When you browse our site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. We do this so we can better improve the experience for all our users.

Newsletter Sign-ups: When you submit a request to subscribe to our newsletter,  we automatically relay your name and email address to Constant Contact, the platform through which our newsletters are generated. Constant Contact (and its subsidiary, SinglePlatform, LLC) participates in and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Constant Contact is committed to subjecting all personal data received from European Union member countries and Switzerland, respectively, in reliance on each Privacy Shield Framework to the Framework’s applicable principles.

Please note that Constant Contact does not use these email addresses in any way, shape or form, other than for the purposes of generating our emails. We do not share or sell personal data of our visitors. Your data is located on secure servers only accessible via an encrypted connection. Only our administrators can see the data.

SECTION 3 – CONSENT

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or register for a class, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason (i.e. newsletter subscription), we will ask you directly for your expressed consent and provide you with an opportunity to withdraw your consent. You may withdraw your consent to receiving our newsletters at any time by clicking on an “unsubscribe” link, offered at the bottom of every newsletter we send. You may also withdraw your consent anytime, by contacting us at info@colorpuncture.org

International Use: Please note that we are headquartered in the United States of America. Personal information may be accessed by us or transferred to us in the United States or service providers elsewhere in the world. By providing us with personal information, you consent to this transfer. 

SECTION 4 – DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information, if we are required by law to do so, or if you violate our Terms of Service. Also, if our site is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that they may continue to sell and support our products and services. IMPORTANT: We do not sell, rent or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third parties, including but not limited to advertisers, strategic partners or vendors. Again, we take your privacy very seriously.

SECTION 5 – DATA STORAGE

If you choose the direct payment gateway to complete your purchases on this website, your payment data will be automatically transferred and stored in Paypal’s data storage system. Paypal stores your data on a secure server behind a firewall. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

Direct payment gateways such as PayPal adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

NOTE: At no point during these online transactions does the U.S. Esogetic Colorpuncture Institute take custody of or store your credit card information. This process is monitored and managed by Paypal, and you can read their terms of service, privacy policy and PCI Compliance information by visiting their site at http://www.paypal.com.

SECTION 6 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your
information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. We use the following third parties to collect information about website visitors:

Security protection by Wordfence:Your IP address will be logged and stored. Please see their privacy policy at https://www.wordfence.com/privacy-policy
Payments collected by PayPal: Please see their privacy policy at https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full. Constant Contact to collect information related to our newsletter emailings. Our store system is managed by Woo Commerce and the data sharing for the version of Woo Commerce that we currently use has been disabled. Please see the Woo Commerce privacy policy for the version on the website, as well as any future versions: https://woocommerce.com/search/?q=privacy+policy. Finally, we use startmeeting.com to host our webinar classes. They collect email and phone number information for webinar participants and relay this information to us. All of these organizations have recently updated their privacy policies to show compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for customers in the European Union and to clearly state for all customers what information they collect and how it is handled.

SECTION 7 – SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). In case of a data breach of our website, users will be notified and encouraged to change their passwords.
 
SECTION 8 – COOKIES

Colorpuncture.org utilizes cookies to create a more customized experience for our users and customers. For example, we use a login cookie so shoppers do not have to re-enter their username and password each time they return to our site We also use tracking code (i.e. Google Analytics) to aid in measuring and tracking where our website traffic is coming from and to track the performance of our site. Finally, we use remarketing pixels from Facebook and Constant Contact to aid in customized, targeted followup advertising.

SECTION 9 – EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, articles, links etc.) Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you were visiting this other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. 

SECTION 10 – ANALYTICS

Constant Contact periodically provides us with information about response to our newsletter campaigns. This information is aggravated and “anonymized”  to email open rates, etc. Startmeeting provides us with aggravated attendance reports for webinar meetings and recording playback sessions.

SECTION 11 – AGE OF CONSENT

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
